Why Horror Movies Are So Popular Around Halloween
Halloween and horror movies have become closely connected because the holiday provides the perfect atmosphere for scary entertainment.
Dark nights, costumes, haunted houses, scary decorations and Halloween parties all create an environment where audiences are more willing to seek out frightening stories.
Streaming services have also changed how people watch horror.
Instead of waiting for a television channel to schedule a horror movie, viewers can search for a specific genre, actor, franchise or theme and start watching almost immediately.
That makes Halloween one of the easiest times of year to discover new horror movies.
